Anchorage resident Glenn "Tiny" Fredericks, 71, died peacefully June 30, 2007, at Alaska Regional Hospital while surrounded by many family members and friends. "He will be remembered for his loyalty to the Native people, his joyous sense of humor, and intense love of his family," his family wrote. [ click here to read full obituary ]

land committee recommendations

Meeting on July 22, 2006, the GTC Land Committee made the several recommendations to the Tribal Council. The committee recommended approval of Permits and Lot Selections signed by original members previous to the July deadline and to date these approved permits on January 1, 2007. This was done so that the five year time clock for construction begins before the next construction period. Additionally, they suggested opening the remaining Lot Selections and Permitting to ALL Georgetown members over the age of 18.
