2024 Assistance Programs

 

These are the assistance programs being offered to members using funds from the American Rescue Plan. This list is for the calendar year 2024. Members can apply online using the links below. Contact the office if you need a copy of the application mailed to you. New programs will be posted as they become available.

2024 Food Supplemental Assistance Program

This program provides a one-time assistance of $1500 for the purchase of food items due to rising costs of food. This program is household based and we will be accepting only one application per household. Link to application

2024 Utility Assistance Program

The 2023 Utility Assistance Program is now open to members. Like last year it will be household based and have a household limit of $1000 per month for up to six months. This program will run from Jan 1, 2024, to July 31, 2024, with the July payment going out in August 2024. Link to application

2024 Housing Assistance Program

Housing Assistance program applications are also available. Fill out the application and you can be awarded up to $1000 on rental assistance or dorm rent or $1000 on mortgage assistance to be paid to the landlord or mortgage company. Link to application

2024 Off-Grid Assistance

The 2024 Off-grid Assistance Program is also open until the end of the year. This application is for those who do not qualify under the 2024 Utility Assistance Program. The maximum awarded amount is $6000 to be applied as credit to fuel supplies in the member’s account or reimbursed for purchased made. EXAMPLE: Those who live in remote areas without access to Utility companies. Link to application

Older Programs

ARPA Vocational and Workforce Development Program

The purpose of the Native Village of Georgetown Job Training Scholarship Program is to financially assists tribal members in acquiring new job skills to members that may have lost their employment or suffer from underemployment due to the COVID-19 pandemic. Job training and vocational training can provide the means to expand the employment opportunities of tribal members in need in fields that are in greater demand and/or provide higher pay. Food Supplemental Assistance Program

This program provides a one-time assistance of $800 for the purchase of food items due to rising costs of food. This program is household based and we will be accepting only one application per household. Link to application.

2023 Utility Assistance Program

The 2023 Utility Assistance Program is now open to members. Like last year it will be household based and have a household limit of $500 per month for up to four months per year, maximum of $2000 for the year. This year, natural gas and firewood have been added. Elder or other members that use firewood as their primary heat source and need assistance can use the assistance to hire someone to cut wood for them. Link to application

2023 Off Grid Assistance Program

The 2023 Off-grid Assistance Program is also open until the end of the year. This application is for those who do not qualify under the 2023 Utility Assistance Program. The maximum awarded amount is $2000 to be applied as credit to fuel supplies in the member’s account or reimbursed for purchased made. EXAMPLE: Those who live in remote areas without access to Utility companies.
